Turkey and Swiss Arepa Sandwich — A Portable Gluten-Free Lunch for Busy Days
Everything a classic deli sandwich gives you — turkey, Swiss, mustard — but gluten-free, sturdier, and more satisfying. Two arepas make the perfect portable sandwich that travels well to sports practice, errands, or anywhere the day takes you.
Ingredients
- 2 Zavor & Co gluten-free arepas
- 4 slices deli turkey
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 tbsp honey mustard
- Lettuce leaf (optional)
How to Make It
- Warm arepas in toaster or dry skillet 1–2 minutes.
- Spread honey mustard on the inside of one arepa.
- Layer turkey and Swiss on top.
- Add lettuce if using.
- Press the second arepa on top. Wrap in parchment and go.
Why It Works
Two arepas as sandwich bread is the move — they're sturdy enough to travel, won't get soggy, and are naturally gluten-free. Turkey and Swiss is the flavor combination nearly every kid and adult already likes. No assembly required at your destination.
