
Vietnamese Caramel Chicken Arepa — Sticky 20-Minute Dinner

What You Need
- 2 Zavor & Co gluten-free arepas
- 2 chicken thighs, cut into pieces
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp tamari
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
How to Make It
- Melt the sugar in a dry pan over medium heat until it turns amber, 3-4 minutes.
- Carefully add 2 tbsp water, then the chicken, tamari, fish sauce and pepper.
- Simmer, turning the chicken, until the sauce is dark, thick and glossy, 12 minutes.
- Warm the arepas in the toaster on high, 2-3 cycles.
- Spoon the caramel chicken over each arepa.
