Peanut butter and banana on a warm gluten-free arepa

Peanut Butter and Banana Arepa — Easy After-School Snack for Kids

June 15, 2026

Two ingredients, zero cooking, one happy kid. Peanut butter and banana on a warm arepa is the after-school snack that never gets old — filling, naturally sweet, and ready before the backpack hits the floor.

Ingredients

  • 2 Zavor & Co gluten-free arepas
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • Honey drizzle (optional)

How to Make It

  1. Warm arepas in a toaster or dry skillet for 1–2 minutes.
  2. Spread peanut butter generously over each warm arepa.
  3. Slice banana into rounds.
  4. Arrange banana slices over peanut butter.
  5. Drizzle with honey if using. Eat immediately.

Why It Works

Peanut butter is one of the most kid-reliable foods there is — protein-rich, filling, and familiar. The warm arepa softens slightly, making the peanut butter even creamier. Kids as young as 5 can make this completely on their own.
