  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • Sliced scallions and sesame seeds to garnish

How to Make It

  1. Mix miso paste, honey, and sesame oil into a glaze.

  2. Brush glaze generously over salmon fillets.

  3. Bake at 400°F for 12 minutes or cook in a skillet 4 minutes per side.

  4. Toast arepas on high in the toaster, 2–3 cycles.

  5. Flake salmon over warm arepa and garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.

About This Recipe

Miso is Japan's ancient fermented soybean paste — savory, slightly sweet, deeply umami. When glazed onto salmon and laid over a warm Colombian arepa, two very different food cultures find common ground: mild, comforting, and deeply satisfying.
