Category: Simple Meals  |  ⏱ Ready in 15 minutes  |  Naturally gluten-free

What You Need

  • 2 Zavor & Co gluten-free arepas
  • 6 oz ground lamb
  • 1 tbsp harissa paste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp plain yogurt
  • Fresh mint to garnish

How to Make It

  1. Brown ground lamb with garlic in a skillet over medium heat, 5–6 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat, then stir in harissa paste. Cook 2 more minutes.
  3. Toast arepas on high in the toaster, 2–3 cycles.
  4. Spoon harissa lamb over each arepa.
  5. Top with a dollop of yogurt and fresh mint.

About This Recipe

Harissa is North Africa's fire — a paste of chilis, garlic, cumin, and coriander that originated in Tunisia. Paired with lamb and the cool white of yogurt, then laid on a Colombian arepa, it's a dinner that crosses three continents.
