Cream Cheese and Jam Arepa — A 2-Ingredient After-School Snack Any Kid Can Make
Two ingredients. Any kid, any age. Cream cheese and jam on a warm arepa is the after-school classic that feels like a bagel but better — naturally gluten-free and ready in two minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 Zavor & Co gluten-free arepas
- 3 tbsp cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp strawberry jam (or any jam or jelly)
How to Make It
- Warm arepas in toaster or dry skillet 1–2 minutes.
- Spread cream cheese over each warm arepa while still warm (it spreads easier).
- Spoon jam over cream cheese.
- Swirl together gently with a spoon or eat as-is.
- Serve immediately.
Why It Works
Kids already know cream cheese and jelly as flavors they love. On a warm arepa, it's elevated — slightly chewy, creamy, and sweet. The warmth softens the cream cheese so it spreads perfectly even for small hands.
