Turkey and Cheese Arepa Lunchbox Idea — Naturally Gluten-Free
The Lunchbox Problem, Solved
Lunchbox planning doesn't have to be a daily puzzle. A turkey and cheese arepa is one of the easiest lunches you can pack — naturally gluten-free, satisfying, and simple enough to make on a busy school morning.
Toast a Zavor arepa, add sliced turkey and cheese, wrap it up, and it goes straight into the lunchbox. That's the whole recipe.
What You Need
1 or 2 Zavor Colombian arepa/s
2–3 slices deli turkey
1–2 slices of cheese (provolone, American, or whatever your child prefers)
Optional: mustard or mayo on the side for dipping
How to Pack It
Toast your Zavor arepa/s until warm and lightly golden.
Let it cool for a few minutes so it doesn't steam up the wrap.
Layer turkey and cheese on top or split the arepa and stuff it (Optional: add a second arepa on top of the turkey and cheese if you prefer not to split the arepa).
Wrap in parchment paper or foil and pack in the lunchbox.
Add a small container of mustard or dip on the side if your child likes it.
Lunchbox Notes
Arepas travel well. They hold their shape, don't get soggy, and taste good warm or at room temperature — which makes them one of the best lunchbox foods for busy school days.
If your child has gluten sensitivities, Zavor arepas are made in a dedicated gluten-free kitchen with no gluten products processed on site.
