Category: After-School Snacks  |  Ready in 5 minutes  |  Serves 1 adult or 2 kids  |  Naturally gluten-free

Kid-friendly: a 10-year-old can make this one alone — no stove.

What You Need

  • 2 Zavor & Co gluten-free arepas
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 apple, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp raisins

How to Make It

  1. Warm the arepas in the toaster on high, 2-3 cycles, then let cool for a minute.
  2. Spread peanut butter over each arepa.
  3. Lay the apple slices on top.
  4. Scatter with raisins and press them in gently so they stick.

About This Recipe

Apple and peanut butter is the after-school snack American kids have grown up on for a century — the raisins are the twist that makes it feel like 'ants on a log', just flatter.
